Do you need anything else?
Nope. We included sample tags, so you can start building a groov interface and try it out even before you connect to the real equipment you want to monitor and control.
When you’re ready to try it with your own equipment, you’re still set. groov includes built-in communications to Modbus/TCP devices and Opto 22 SNAP PAC controllers. No intermediary servers or protocol converters are required.
If you’d like to use groov with other systems, including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or just about any automation system out there, you’ll need an OPC UA server. If you don’t have one yet, we recommend the KEPServerEX communications platform from Kepware Technologies. Kepware has developed hundreds of device drivers for just about any system or equipment you have. See the list of supported systems. You can get a free trial of KEPServerEX, too.
